Ten Maintenance and Repair Methods for Roll Crushers
Time : 12/03/2025
- Debris Protection and Oil Level Inspection: Regardless of the feeding method, a reliable rust removal device must be installed to prevent other debris from entering the crusher. Before each startup, be sure to check the oil level in the main and auxiliary drive gearboxes to ensure sufficient oil volume. At the same time, the roll crusher must be started without load. Before starting, carefully check and remove the remaining materials in the machine.
- Startup and Shutdown Operations: Start the roll crusher. After it reaches normal speed and there are no abnormal conditions, feeding can begin. If the crusher has been out of use for a long time or is started for the first time, manually rotate the large pulley 2 to 3 times first. After confirming that it rotates freely, "jog" the motor several times. After the motor rotation direction is correct, start the crusher formally. Regularly sample and check the product particle size. If necessary, readjust the gap between the crushing rolls. During normal shutdown, stop feeding first. After all the materials in the crusher are discharged, then turn off the equipment.
- Lubricating Oil Replacement and Pressure Adjustment: The main and auxiliary drive gearboxes of the roll crusher are lubricated with gear oil. The lubricating oil in the box should be replaced in time in summer and winter. When changing the material strength, particle size or crushing ratio, the nitrogen pressure of the buffer cylinder should be readjusted. The pressure range is 1.5 to 4MPa. If the pressure is too high, it will accelerate the wear of machine parts and increase power consumption. If the pressure is too low, it will increase the oversize particles of the crushed product and cause the movable crushing roll to jump frequently.
- Assembly and Sealing Precautions: After the crusher is overhauled, when reassembling the upper crushing roll and the split coupling, the tightening torque of the round nut and the coupling bolts should be strictly controlled. When tightening the bolts of the split coupling, first tighten the diagonal bolts, and then tighten the middle bolts. At the same time, ensure that the gaps on both sides of the split surface of the coupling are uniform. If the box cover of the main and auxiliary drive gearboxes is opened during maintenance and overhaul, the rubber seal should be replaced when reinstalling, and a layer of sealant should be evenly applied on the static seal surface to prevent oil leakage. The bearings of the translation link device of the upper and lower crushing rolls are lubricated with No. 2 or No. 3 calcium - based grease. During normal production, tighten the oil cup cover once a week to inject grease.
- Lubrication Point Oil Injection for Bearings: Regularly inject oil into the lubrication points of each bearing of the roll crusher. Inject oil 1 to 2 times after working for a certain period of time.
- Initial Oil Filling and Oil Change for Gearbox: When filling oil in the gearbox, the oil volume should be controlled between the highest and lowest scale lines of the oil level gauge. One month after the gearbox starts working for the first time, it must be cleaned with kerosene and new oil must be replaced.
- Inspection of Roll Surface Wear: Regularly check the wear condition of the roll surface. If the wear is serious, corresponding technical treatment should be carried out in time.
- Spot Check of Discharge Particle Size and Gap Adjustment: Regularly spot - check the discharge particle size. According to the change of particle size, adjust the gap between the rolls in time.
- Regular Oil Change for Gearbox: Under normal production conditions, the gearbox needs to be changed with new oil every three months.
- Safety Operation Specifications: When inspecting or adjusting the roll crusher, relevant operators must be notified, and the automatic - manual control switch should be switched to the manual position. Use on - site manual control, and remote control is strictly prohibited. When maintaining the equipment, maintenance personnel must cut off the power supply to prevent accidents.
